Since being roadworthy it's done about 1000 miles. Whilst recovering i thought i'd do an oil change for the first time since it's been driving. The sludge was more than i was expecting but the oil was not shining in the light.

An ex-DDK'r is on PROM duty for his son next week in dad's black '72.

Fixed the NS rear light issue with a good earth to the shell from the die cast housing.
Everything should be ok for the MoT on Tuesday next at 8.15am prompt.
Insuring it via Hagerty again the same day, others are about £30/40 cheaper but with higher excess, so sticking with Hagerty.

Question: when did the prom phenomenon arrive, or become popular in the UK? I left England in 1981, as a teenager, and don't believe it existed then (?). Does it cross all demographics? Just interested. Thanks, John

Much appreciated. A long-held and still/sometimes earnest tradition here in the US. When I got to go (Southern California... 82 and 83), times were different - think 1970’s culture- and the naughty factor was still in full swing. Great as a young man, horrifying for parents.

Ha cool - what version did you fit? Hows it feel compared to the 5 speed? Do you need to find a home for your old gearbox?
