B S Motorsport autojumble

Post by 911hillclimber »

Brilliant, great location, lots and lots of parts, some very unusual.
Spent more than I had, so borrowed a bit from a fellow DDK'r :)

Hope this will become an annual affair.

Thanks to Neil and his team, and to the trade for turning up with the parts.
Graham.

About 10 engines right through to washers.
Racks of parts, body and electrical, quite countless.
Other traders has nice parts too.
I came home with 2 bargains imho.
I was not alone. :)

I enjoyed it too, but it was definitely low in terms attendance from the public. Needs better timing and/or publicity if its happening again next year (which i think it should).

Interesting to take a look around, great location and the auto jumble had a wide variety of parts at sensible prices, would deffo go again. Agreed, needs more promotion, I only tripped over the event by accident.

Yep, needs more promotion. " Autojumble" mentioned in the main title will do the trick next year.
I had a small table and sold a few bit's to make the trip worthwhile. I think this event will grow to a "must do" in the next few years.
Can't beat an old autojumble.

Really wanted to go to this, just distance and circumstances meant it was never going to be.

Future years if it happens again would be good to try and have a get together / beets the night before or after

Is 'beeting' a Northern version of Dogging?

Yes you are correct but it involves the inclusion of a "root" vegetable.

I really enjoyed it - lots of parts from the rarest of the rare down to boxes of nuts and bolts.

Without really needing anything I still managed to come home with a few well priced bits and pieces.

I'm sure I must have spoken to various DDKers both manning the stalls and milling around. I would have gone without the autojumble for a look round the workshops and all the great cars outside!

I love these events, and a Porsche only do is even better.

Punters have to be pulled away from ebay first, the lazy, risky way to buy used parts.

nothing better than getting to grips with the parts first.

I bought 3 items, one saved me £210 on a new part.
It will gain traction over the next few years.
Timing I think is right; people start to think about winter work on their cars about now and parts needed.
