Thanks
No, it doesn't unfortunately.
But I'll quote a few of the details:
Forged light alloy wheels with 6J x 15 rims. Fixed-head Coupe coachbuilt by Porsche. Standard equipment includes: new heating and ventilation system with tinted glass all round; leather-covered steering wheel of small diameter; rear window wiper; 4 jet windscreen washers; 3-speed windscreen wipers; laminated windscreen.........Finished in metallic blue with beige upholstery.

Thanks Arfor,
Although it does say "standard equipment " and then lists it, maybe it's not specific to the car?

I would think that the standard equipment listed applied to every 911 S.
I have a price list for factory-fitted accessories, and a steel sun roof, electrically operated, with wind deflector is priced at £135.
If the sun roof on your car was fitted at the factory, it should be shown on the Certificate of Authenticity?
Sorry, I honestly meant RHD, but certainly goofed; must be dyslexic.
Great details. The 911S details are certainly specific; rear wiper is certainly an option.

Arfor, my COA states optional equipment- speaker, rear wiper, sliding roof, coloured windscreen and side windows, black carpet.

Not entirely surprisingly, it seems that the descriptions of the cars in the Show Catalogue do not exactly correspond with the cars that were actually on display. I would suggest that the failure to include a sun roof in the description of the 911 S in the catalogue does not necessarily mean that it was a different car from yours....
In the case of my own car, it was (still is) fitted with chromed wheel rims (as shown on the COA), but no mention of this is made in the Catalogue. At the time, chromed wheel rims added a further £45 to the price.
Hi. This might help. I have cross checked the AFN cars for the details posted earlier and these are the cars that seem to be the candidates for the show cars.

I can't help with the VIN info (although I did visit the show !) but it's good to know Ian's still alive as I haven't seen or heard of him for a few/several years !!
The following appeared in MotorSport magazine November 1968 edition page 18 "A Lighthearted Look at the London Show"
"This took us to the small stand occupied by Porsche, where we were glad to see H. J. Aldington about again. Centre of attraction was a Dunlop-shod competition Porsche coupé in Targa Florio colours, carrying No. 224. A Porsche 912 in funeral black and dark-tinted glass contrasted with the bright tones of the other exhibits. We were told that the biggest demand is for Bahama Yellow, and W.B. thought perhaps this is because those who have missed getting patches in the Bahamas console themselves with a Bahama-hued Porsche in the suburban garage. A 911S with door pockets, small steering wheel and a wiper for the back Window which D.S.J. says he finds unnecessary on his E-type with its electrically-heated glass, was inspected"
I have a note on the 912 I posted that it was delivered with "Tinted Glass". I also have a note on the 911S posted that is was delivered with "Rear Electric Window Wiper".
Yes, as has been said, good to see you here again.
Slightly puzzling registration number on the 911 S - OGJ 1E? The reg'n numbers of the other cars registered at that time (including my own) had a G suffix - unless it was the first owner's 'personal' number?
