Hi Matt, yes you are looking at the casting number: engine number should be just off to the right of the crank pulley on a little flat: can't remember if its vertical or horizontal though (vertical I think?): I would check on my car, but since I've sold it, it's not very practical

BTW, the engine number is stamped in, rather than raised cast in numbers.
