Jagermeister 914 - Colour code question
Does anyone on here know what the orange/red colour code was for the Jagermeister cars?
Was it a standard VW or Porsche colour or were the bodies painted according to the sponsors corporate ID?

Re: Jagermeister 914 - Colour code question
As far as I know the colour code was W21 (Jägermeister code). The colour that resembles this colour most is a VW colour called 'Leucht Orange'
Here you see it:

It's Pantone 1665 if that helps you.

Re: Jagermeister 914 - Colour code question
Well I was told that "according Armando Serrano (the 914GT guru) the car was painted Conda Green, then given a coat of Signal Orange to look like the Jagermeister bottle". I think it looks nicest with the (conda) green roof rather than black that I have also seen....

Re: Jagermeister 914 - Colour code question
We do hold a formula for Jagermeister Orange which is a fleet colour. Which means it was matched to there own company orange colour.
It doesn't mean it's what they used on the car !?? As there is four or five different versions of signal Orange on our system depending on the year plus variants of each colour as well !
Hope this helps ?
Regards Mark.

Nepal Orange is damn near close enough.. with a Conda roof too:

Re: Jagermeister 914 - Colour code question
Not sure if a racing team back in 1972 would have used a Porsche colour on a second-hand 1971 Conda Green Porsche 914-6GT race car that needed to be painted the race team sponser orange colour or given some paint from Jägermeister.
But the story goes it was Signal Orange.
The orange paint would have been painted straight on top of the Conda green on the outside only, but they decided to leave the green on the sail panels inside and out, windscreen pillars and targa top as green was part of the brand colours.
Looking at some photos it looks like the sail panels were covered in painted black or covered in vinyl at a later time when the car was fitted with Fuchs wheels.
In 1974 the GT was sold on and it was repaint Conda Green again on the outside.

Re: Jagermeister 914 - Colour code question
Was Conda green a special order colour in '71?
Re: Jagermeister 914 - Colour code question
Conda green was not a 914 standard colour, but a custom colour could be ordered as an option, Porsche or non Porsche colour for your new 914 at an added cost.carl wrote:Was Conda green a special order colour in '71?
There was only one Jägermeister GT, but after looking to find out information on the Jägermeister GT I have noticed that two chassic numbers are coming up as claiming they have the original Jägermeister GT. One is in the US and is a ’71 the other is in Germany and a ’70.
When I look at the period photos of the Jägermeister GT the green doesn’t look Conda to me, as it is too dark of a shade, more like one of the standard 914 greens: Willow Green or Irish Green, but saying that the photos are old!
