On my 911 I have the pressed steel type transmission cross mount (not the alloy G50 type).
Which is the correct configuration of the cup washes. One underneath and the other on top. I cant remember if they cup inwards or outwards.

I've always cupped inwards to 'cup' the rubber biscuit both sides.
If you reverse this layout the gearbox will tend to move vertically under hard launches and will feel like a Morris Minor with axle tramp (if you are old enough to have experienced it!)
The engine cross bar is assembled the same way, cup over the rubber.
