Yes Martin, thats them indeed. You can see probably why I threw mine away as they never ever looked the part really against L/H drive versions. I do like the International Mercantile ones they produce a professional looking product.

cheers

They may be a bit tatty Martin but don't throw them away.
I had some nice carpet mats that are the same as the rest of the carpet made to go over mine and preserve them.

Guys,

Looked on this site about the restoration of the RHD 1957 speedster that Classic Porsche detailed in their March / April edition last year.

The website is nice and shows many photos of the car being restored and a separate section on 'Interior assembly' Glancing through the photos there in front of me is a shot of the rubber RHD mats.

Now, these RHD mats look the perfect job factory equivelent to the LHD version. They have the plain outer perimeter and the correct ribbing. ( And no LHD cut outs!) This speedster was supplied to Australia and I presume they are original. Did anyone make over there the proper version and not use hand cut ones? I try the copy and paste and hope it works, might not take you direct to the photo which I could not seem to copy.

Look factory to me!

There is a man in Melbourne who makes decent RHD mats.

He made the mats for RHD Speedster that now lives in Essex

I know my mate Greg in Melbourne had a batch of these previously.
He had a bit of an Aladin's cave of old RHD parts and new top quality parts sources ... very few things he couldnt get.
He is a regular concours judge so he will know whats right .

This is a rear mat that came with my RHD 56A which needs restoring, looks to be the same kind of profile ribbing as the front ones pictured. Can anyone say whether it looks original, unfortunately I only have one.
Rob.

Sorry still having trouble posting pictures, I seem to be the only person who can't work out how to do it, I am trying to do it from an I pad, don't know if you have to do it in a different way from a PC.

Rob,
Your photos really need to be uploaded to say www.photobucket.com Then its also best if you first reduce the pixle size of the photo by going on say www.picresize.com for example. Then when you have a photo resized and entered on Photobucket you copy and then paste that image onto the forum thread using the IMG box on the header.

I think there is a full link on here somewhere to describe the process in detail. ( or even try google )

I bet your rear mat has no plain perimeter around it just the thin ribbing.

Hi Roy,
Thanks I will try again. Your right there is no perimeter , I was also going to post a pic of the front luggage compartment mat, which has thicker ribs and a plain perimeter which is wider on the sides and bottom than on the top.

Rob,

The front luggage compartment rubber mat is factory. The same one was used for left and right hand models. Its only RHD mats inside the car that were handcut.
