Nice one guys......I can always rely on DDK.

Thanks especially to those of you who spent some real time typing.....I reckon Bert should write a book.....his post reminded me of 'the honeywell file'........ a tale of an architecture job that goes horribly wrong.

Suitably chastened.......I have decided to nip down to the garage and give them the following instruction....

'OK .....do that front wing and lets see how you get on with that'

I shall report back with their response tomorrow......and keep you updated on my progress. (Wish me luck...lol)

thanks again chaps

And if anyone wants to add anything I'm still reading............

I reckon Bert should learn to tweet!

Find an enthusiast, someone who cares - commercial bodyshops will rarely understand!

And good luck,

I put a little work their way as a test and it did not work out well.

I think most people have had a dodgy experience at some point - Bert's comment about the brand attracting scheisters isn't far off the mark. There are some good ones though, and many of them are active on this forum. If you search the forum for the name of the company you want to use, you should be able to see who's used them. A few tactical PMs ought to get you your answers. If someone has been unhappy with a company, they're unlikely to post it on the forum, but may be more forthcoming via private message.

I've not had much bodywork done, but have been reamed over engine work in the past. Tread carefully.
