Hood to windscreen ??
Got caught out driving in the rain the other night and discovered a few drips coming in from where the hood meets the the windscreen frame. Have no type of seal in place, so wondered what you lot have used and proved a success.

Re: Hood to windscreen ??
Not notice any other leaks, just the one dripping on my knees, will keep a look out though. Done a search and the oringinals did have a seal in place in question but pretty sure it wont fit the header rail. So need to look for some other type of seal, maybe a 2in 1 seal just in case.

You could use some 3M foam stickie on one side and stick it on the inside of the rail maybe?

Re: Hood to windscreen ??
I have the same problem with mine it drips on to my knee as well .Put it down to my incontinent pants leaking at first .
. I tried a bit of door sealant strip on the underside of the canvas hood but just came off when hood was put back down, I suppose a fix on a long journey it may work
It seems to happen in really heavy rain I think it is the high spot of the wipers sweeps the rain pushes in ,it is just around the centre of the steering wheel and it is at the same spot on the passengers side .
Also told there should be seal inside the bonnet at the point where the catch is ( not on mine )as I get water coming in there when really heavy and collects in the spare wheel rim . Another place to watch for is the rear wheel arches it sprays water in and comes out at the seatbelt anchorage point inside the car had a terrible time until i found our where it was coming from .
Another fix is move to California .

Re: Hood to windscreen ??
Brian, think you hit the nail on the head head with the wiper at full swing. Thats when it comes in. As for the rear where the seat belt inertia's are, already blocked them up so no probs there. The front bonnet does need an extra seal to stop the water entering the boot area, l used some 3M self adhesive seal and superglued the ends where they meet the boot seal, worked a treat. Also drill a couple of drain holes in the lowest part of the boot floor just for drainage just in case.

Re: Hood to windscreen ??
Paul l used these /www.europaspares.com/ for the rubber seals. I also used the 3M SARS seal for the doors and the front lip of the bonnet and the other one marked for the bonnet.
