Post by alfacat »

Hi Everbody
I maybe moving to Dubai and it seams unlikly that I'll be able to take my "t" with me, shipping costs, no air con (not alot of fun in all that sunshine!) etc.
Now a few days troling the interweb and I can find only 997s(and auto/trip only) are for sale, so can anyone help me find a 993/964 at a dealers or recomend a dealer, if you have one for sale please pm me.
Come on lets prove that DDK realy do know all and can do anything!

All the best
Ian F.

PS. Are there enough DDKers in Dubai to set up a middle east chapter?

Cool (pardon the pun), an old 911 over here(for when/if I get time to come home) and a new(ish) sand proof one for work in the UAE seams a fine idea, just have to find the cash now, mit help to get there first but a 911 to drive is far more than place to live!!!!!!

PS. Do air cooled cars deal will with all that sand and dust , also how do air cooled car cool with hot air as a coolant, strange?

water cooled cars are ultimately cooled by the same air .. that's what a radiator does ;)

Back in the early days when prof Porsche designed the beetle, the remit from the man with the moustache was that the people's car had to be capable of neither freezing up in extreme cold conditions nor boil over in hot conditions ... the exact thing water cooled cars did ... thus an air cooled ( in reality oil cooled ) engine was choosen
