Thought I would get some input from all the people here on DDK.
My wife and I are planning on taking a 3 week driving holiday through Europe in the S during August. Current thoughts are to drive a loop of France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, northern Italy, Switzerland and eastern France.
Places we will be definitely stopping to see :
Stuttgart and new Museum;
Salzburg;
Grossglockner Pass
Porsche family hotel in Zell am See.
Would really appreciate any thoughts on places that people have visited, routes travelled, hotels stayed at etc as want to start getting reservations made.
Objective of the trip is to drive steadily round, soaking up the scenery and atmosphere not some hair on fire mad dash, driving no more than 200 miles in any one go.
Would it be a thought to actually continue from N Italy and go to S France and return back that way ?
Thanks,
Ben.

Not Luxembourg? Or didn't you include it as a country
The Black Forest and the Tyrol are always worth a look, but you were probably going to pass through them anyway...

Eastern France, absolute must is Schlumf Collection in Mulhouse.

The story behind how it was collected is as fascinating as the museum.
Don't miss the superb Alsace wines, and scenery/roads in Vosges mountains.
