No Capo? Shame!

Anyone going or are we all watching the GP to see Lewis win the championship? The Goodwood weather may be foggy Sunday AM

Judging on recent experience an early start would be in order.

Not sure Goodwood is the way to go. Any ideas for an alternative route?

If we left in darkness we'd be home to see Lewis win 8)

Oh well, I'll wander down to Goodwood anyway, probably with the TR (with For Sale sign discreetly attached  ).

Nick: I've scanned the list a couple of times: yes they really have missed off Cappuccino, the well known star of the Directors cut of Gin60S  .

Goodwood have declined my generous loan of the car for the morning :P .

Hey Barry,

As long as it's not tipping it down first thing then I'm going in the '67S and Nick? You could always watch the re-run later in the morning and just pray you don't overhear the result which'll be a miracle given the amount of men & motors present!

Hopefully see you BOTH there then!

 :P 8)

That's the problem, I am bound to overhear someone with the result before I see it. The weather looks good. Still in 2 minds.

It is the last one of the year you know... (I think)

And that's the breakfast, not the GP.

You know you want to...

I will get up at 0530 h, walk the dog then watch the lead up and the the start on ITV. As long as I leave by 0730 I can be at Goodwood for 0830. Back home for 1130 to watch the re-run.

Well I went, as did Steve and Mr Moss (plus Lucy of course). Nice to meet to you Steve :) .

Lots of yank stuff, although the Gone in Sixty Seconds theme was surprisingly poor (unusual for Goodwood), with just seven (I think) of the 'themed' cars there, out of fifty.

Best bit for me was the 'plebs' parking (on the right as you go in). Once again this was chock-full, and had a nice relaxed atmosphere with plenty of interesting gear. As for the rest, it was O.K., but pretty busy and a bit hum-ho generally.

Still worth it for me, as I've now got a lead on the TR4 (I had a little For Sale on it). Just happened that I returned to the car as someone was looking at it. Asked all of the right questions, seems to understand what they are like, and has had MG's and TR's in the past.

Anyway, he'd already seen it on Pistonheads, so was pleased to have the chance to see it for real. Demo booked to coincide with the VSCC event at Goodwood later in the month.

Great drive down on empty roads, listened to the GP on 5Live, Arrrrghhhh

Slightly disappointed by the yankee car turn out, but good to see 2 DDK cars had snuk in among them the paddock area.

Barry, very good to meet you too, sir. Loving that TR4. Very good luck with the sale.

Thanks for coming Nick and for keeping that awful GP result under your hat (and I hope those stickers dry out ok...)

T'was a beautiful morning for driving to be sure. Drive home was a bit more hectic though! :x

Looking forward to the next one already. Bloody long wait though...
