Ok, to answer the previous questions:-

It was manufactured 04/01/1973 according to Porsche
First registered 24/05/1973 in Italy

The horn is a single long red trumpet under the LH wing

James - see pm for chassis number.

interesting as my car has an earlier chassis number. Both letters I have had from Porsche have failed to give me an exact build date. I wonder if mine might have been built before Jan 1st ?

I'll have to find out how many cars Porsche built a day

Yours must have been built in late '72 based on our chassis numbers. They can't have made that many per day! That should make your car tax exempt, while mine isn't :(

Thanks Del, your 912 looks great too - understated class and cool colour.
I'll post some close ups when I get chance.
