Those of you (us?) using Firefox (the browser, not the Red Panda - I have no idea what you think you are going to gain by doing that), will now have favicons on tabs, URL bars and Bookmarks.
IE users will have to wait while I tinker some more.

Flippin' 'eck - this has people as animated as any thread I remember!
Favicons are funny things - they were first implemented by M$, but they work best in anything except IE.
It may take a while to propagate through your browser - try pressing F5 or Ctrl F5 to force refresh and see if 'yours' appear.
It could even need you to clear your browser cache before your browser will admit there's anything new there.
You won't see them in IE on the forum pages until I persuade the required PHP to work.
I can see mine in Firefox at home and work, and in all areas of the site.
I can see mine in IE7 on the homepage and in my favourites at home, but not on the forum.
I can't see any on IE6 at work.
I'll keep fiddling, as I can't help myself, and you'll see any progress as it occurs, but I'm going to hold-off for a short time while we see if the errors that the forum was throwing yesterday are linked to my FTP access (I know - blah-blah, techno-blah).

Thank you.fourteener wrote:Good work on the Favicon Carl, seems to only be on the homepage though, not displayed on the forums
(Nicks Favicon is innocent. I can see it on Firefox.)

Yes - I've been playing with using the transmogrifying cars in the DDK title bar, but baby-steps first, and let me get 'plain' favicons working as consistently as possible accross all our browsers, eh?Derek wrote:Can we have it animated?
