Steve - that looks superb - top job! I'm hoping to get something going myself in next few months (but just bought a 356A so will probably wait until after Christmas now). What did you use as your "base" car? And who did the work please? It looks stunning - very impressed!

Hi Simon, thanks for the interest. Unfortunately I can't take any credit for the work as I purchased the car from Maxted-Page last summer and the only thing it really needed was some more correct seats and the fitting of inertia reel belts as the full harnesses were a bit of a pain. Neil Bainbridge was respsonsible for the actual work but the name of his company escapes me for the moment. He was also responsible for the gorgeous Viper Green car that's just been sold at Hairpin:

That link may expire, btw.

My car is based upon a matching numbers '72 2.4S (I would have been happy if it had stayed original!) but I couldn't find one for love nor money in any way as decent a condition as this. And this is oh so much faster...!

Funny you mention the Viper Green one. I called Hairpin and left 4 messages for them over 4 days asking someone to call back as I was interested in that but also a GP White 911 Turbo they had in. They never called back. Shame - they look like they have good stock, but if they can't be bothered to call someone back who wants to spend some money it makes me wonder what they'll be like if you buy a car and then have a problem.
(Rant over!) :geek:

Anyway, I called Karmann Konnections, who called me back, and a week later I'd bought a 356A. Top bunch of guys down there as well. Trouble is I have some spare money from original budget and LOVE the look of your 'RS'. I can feel a 911T coming on, ready to go the same way.... Will you be at Hedingham Steve? Or Bromley Pageant?
