Re: FS, 1974 Aluminium Rear Arms
Hi John,
Why will they not fit a 70 car ? I thought the aluminium arms will fit a LWB car.
I thought the only problem was that the later bilstein shock cover could foul in the shock tower meaning you have to use a rubber cover
thanks Martin

Re: Would like to swap engine grill
Am I to gather that the finish of the earlier ones is The horizontal bars bright polished but the 5 verticals and the mesh black anodised ?
If so this would be quite difficult for me to achieve as it would require complete dismantling and reassembly.

Re: Would like to swap engine grill
Hi Stretch, It's definitely anodised as the surface finish is transluscent and you can see the underlying metal underneath, It is not like a "solid" painted finish. As Andy said , he suggested I swap rather than go through the hassle of stripping and polishing but as mine is a pretty good ...

Re: Would like to swap engine grill
That's an interesting idea,
I could do that but I also thought that the anodising process on aluminium also gives a degree of corrosion protection, stopping surface oxidation.
Would I need to get the grill re-anodised in a clear finish to acheive this?
Thanks for the advice.
