Re: 70T rolling resto / right date
I bought some Porsche black paint. Shocking match! More of a dark grey than a black https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52612976609_7a0c42f281_z.jpg So I bought an alternative from my local EuroParts shop in Chessington, which looks a lot better https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52612976504_975dff...

Re: LED dash/gauge lights
I just ordered a blue one. I had my dials restored and I think there should have been a blue cover for full beam, but was presumably missed. This is an easy alternative to sending them back. However, I have a couple of boxes of the originals, so will leave the rest as they are.

Re: My '72 911T
I've been following Johannes on Youtube for some time. A true perfectionist. I'm pretty sure my issue is not my brakes as the issue arises at 70ish mph. I've been reading quite a bit about steering wobble. It looks like worn ball joints are a common culprit. I quite like the look of these, but as an...

Re: 70T rolling resto / right date
The windscreen has been removed. All rust was found to be surface rust only. Rust inhibitor has been applied. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52569629025_34009a38ab_n.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52568722217_344753483b_o.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52569709888_a9c97e38e6_o...

Re: 70T rolling resto / right date
My ash tray has seen better days after 52 years of use, so whilst the rest of my car was in for paint repairs, I thought I'd try my hand at DIY painting. I've not tried this before. Disassembled and light sanding https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52569155441_90eaa17cd0_z.jpg The bit that bolts to ...

Re: 70T rolling resto / right date
Its been a while since my last update. After driving my car to a number of classic car events, weeekend blasts and meetings at the Fairmile, I now have another set of winter projects to do.... https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52556540905_b101e64140_z.jpg The surface rust at the bottom of the A-Pi...

Re: My '72 911T
I have a wobble around 70MPH too. I have had the wheels refurbed and balanced, the disks changed, new tyres and I still have it. I suspect its the tie rods.... A job for the winter. I have 7Rs at the front and 8s at the rear, so can't try the swap, but I don't think wheel balance is my problem. I on...

Re: Ooops - need a new oil pressure pipe, the long expensive one
I have an adaptor from the 30mm thread size to the other size (whatever that is). If you end up finding a pipe of the size you don't need, then let me know. I had it made and then ended up not using it. It's lurking in my spare parts box somewhere. I don't remember the measurements, but I can dig it...

Re: engine rebuild, sell it, what to do, where to go
Presumably you have adjusted the valves? Could it not just be something as simple as that? Regarding fixing it. I had my high compression engine twin plugged and dyno'd by BS Motorsport. They have all the machining bits and bobs on site too. Really nice people. https://www.neilbainbridge.com/Home. I...

Re: Rear quarter window seals...
Great instructions. I used a silicone lubricant combined with limited patience and a lot of swearing to get mine in.
