Hi Tim Pretty certain its the switch. having isolated the starter from the ignition, and got the fule pump going of the ignition and then got the starter going from the battery, and all worked as it should. I might try that ideas a temporary fix, fairmile and all that. I'm just not sure if its the m...

I definitely need a new ignition switch as the knackered one in there at the moment is preventing the the starter motor from disengaging. I took my car to Francis Tuthill's in Oxforshire. It was fitted with Bilstien dampers, new factory rubber (where necessary), turbo tie rods and was lowered slightly. It's now using the factory Monte Carlo Tarmac rally geometry from 1965 (Vic Elford Tastic!). I haven't found a car yet that will live...
