915 gearbox: which oil?
This question has probably been asked before, but i'm new to DDK, but not 911's. I road and hillclimb my 3.2 engined '73 T and have done so for years. The oil in the 915 (non LSD) went in a full 12 years ago....so time to change what might be left in there. The box works a treat, so things are sound...

When buying the PMO's if that is where you end up, be sure you get the right inlet manifolds. There are 2 types, one for engines with Carbs originally on and one for 'mechelec' engines, ie the 3.2. I have run the '3 pipe' silencer on a 2.2 on weber, a 2.4 on mech Inj and now the 3.2 in my Bitza 911T from 1991 to today.(and it was not new then so a bit empty inside by now) The noise levels are a bit OTT with the pipes open but the throttle response is much better on the 3.2 (injected) but was n...
