Re: Porsche for sale of the day..........

I’m surprised CC aren’t on top of it more. At the end of the day suppressed sale prices won’t do them any favours. Or is it a fixed commission model.

If you suspected that you might get the same comments would you submit your car for sale with them.?

Re: Car pulling to the left

Don't forget that flexible brake lines do degrade and swell internally. Then they don't release the pressure at the caliper when you release the pedal. Tends to be ok when cold and gets progressively worse as the car and brakes heat up. Been there.

Re: Restoration Design Speedster

I’ve not looked into what RD is doing here, but is it any different to a heritage mini or MGB shell?

Replacing the shell of your rotten B seems perfectly acceptable.

Personally I think if it’s well executed, faithful and clearly stated then it’s not an issue.

It's actually the little known "Bass Ackwards Championship"

All competitors have to complete the race in reverse. Just flip your diff and away you go.

You could ask what she would like to pay for , insure and run? The acceptable list might grow

I thought I'd won the lottery with a clapped out 17 yr old 1974 beetle. I could see more of the road than the floorpan.

Re: When something falls off

Not the guy who converted my navy blue NAB916K into a beach buggy, was it? Circa 1991. I loved that car and was gutted it got turned into a buggy. Ironically, I felt the ride go lumpy on way to an MOT, checked the rear left wheel and all the nuts were half an inch out - but nothing fell off on that ...

Re: When something falls off

This is why I had "tighten your wheel nuts" tattooed on the inside of my eye lids. MIne was a type3 fastback I bought from a total t*sser in Wigan. He had taken 8 wheel bolts from it for his beach buggy leaving 2 per wheel under the hubcaps. When I got the tinkle tinkle crunch noise and an...

OT: joining the EV revolution

Morning all and a happy new year. Over the holidays I visited my brother in law who has a new model3. It was a bit of an eye opener frankly. Chez Wild we have two oil burner daily wagons, Honda CR-V and Peugeot 3008. One or t’other mostly sits idle. So I’m contemplating the Peugeot going as the Hond...

I'm also banning males over the age of 14 from wearing half mast trousers with no socks and pink suede loafers or mocassins. And don't get me started on those who leave the brand label on the sleeve of their suit jacket to show you what they are wearing.

All domestic appliances will be sold solely in man-friendly format. No need for 23 different cycles on the washing machine. On, Off, whites, darks. Done!
