To test the old one I bolted this steel plate to it with the tyre vales fitted to locate in the flow return holes. Pumped in 30psi and stuck it in a bucket of water. There's good news and bad news. I had a broken stud which I replaced by welding in a suitable length 6mm bolt. The cover is stainless but the lug/bracket on the backside took a weld no problem without any blueing of the outer skin. They do need a nut and washer on from under the wing to pull the cov...
