Re: Distributor Replacement Advice

Hi all,

thanks for the amazing responses and info. Seems a few are running the 123 dizzy, so I decided to order one today. Fingers crossed it fixes the last few niggles and I'm back up and motoring for 2020!!

I'll keep you posted with progress.

Distributor Replacement Advice

Hello fellow 912 folk, it's been some time since I was on the forum after suffering a troublesome year with my car. See post http://www.ddk-online.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=63428 It would seem that the good people at Zuffenhaus have made progress with the stuttering and stopping running is...

Re: 912 Display & Meet Up - Stanford Hall - Sunday 3rd May 2

Hi Danny, this event has come a long way in the past few years!

Hoping to have the car back on the road soon so put my name down.

Cheers

Re: Engine Running Issues - ADVICE NEEDED

Hi again, all good tips, car is in storage at the moment so I can't access to easily, but definitely worthy of checking the connectors on the wires. I have a mechanical pump and we tried an electronic one and bypassed the mech on, didn't change anything so suggests it's not the pump. Everytime I see...

Re: Engine Running Issues - ADVICE NEEDED

Hi all, thanks for the thoughts. So fuel tank issue was looked at but wasn't deemed to be the culprit as we ran a separate external fuel supply to the pump, and had the same issues. Carbs are clean and idle screw behaves as expected. We also swapped another set of Webers on and again, the same resul...

Re: Engine Running Issues - ADVICE NEEDED

Thanks for the offer Neil, but I've already swapped out the dizzy with Danny to run a test with no luck, and also used another set of carbs, albeit larger bore, but had exactly the same result. Could be electrical as you say, with the heat build up, but nothing has shown up so far. There's a spark w...

Re: Engine Running Issues - ADVICE NEEDED

Hi Mike, thanks for the advice. We've been through all the things you've highlighted including an electric pump to no avail I'm afraid. The problem is still there, including running from an external fuel can into the pump. The compression test has shown some signs of ring wear on cylinders 3&4 b...

Re: Engine Running Issues - ADVICE NEEDED

Hi Sean, Running Webers, and someone else has suggested this issue might be related to contamination from the fuel tank. Fuel supply is not regulated, as far as I know. I'm just running an inline fuel filter and standard mechanical pump. Will ask the mechanic to take a closer look through all the fu...

Engine Running Issues - ADVICE NEEDED

Dear fellow 912ers and DDKers, I turn to your wealth of knowledge and experience in a great hour of need. A few weeks back my 912 started to develop an issue where it felt as if there was slight misfire or fuel feed issue, mostly evident in lower end revs in 2nd and 3rd gear under slight acceleratio...

911 / 912 SWB Roof Rack, Steel + Wood

Seeking a roof rack for a SWB 911 / 912 with clamps in steel and wood.

Anyone have one lying around in the back of a workshop or garage that is no longer used?

Please PM me if so.

Thanks!

Great day and display, thanks to Danny for stellar organisational skills and everyone that bought along their wonderful cars.

Here's to next year and don't forget the flat four drive later in the year.

Another vote from me for a 'club' gazebo, we don't want to look like amateurs!!! 8)

Hope the op went well Jeremy and the memories last until the spring! It was a nice blast back to Southam for sure.

Karl's 356 is very photogenic!
