Re: ‘6 engine in the wanted section
Morning David, I have a really nice 3.2 UK Carrera engine which are fabulous on carbs. Disassembled for inspection but complete with injection etc, £ 9000.00 probably work out cheaper than a 2.4 cheers, Glynn Thanks Glynn. I’d like to go that big but it would mean a lot more other mods to my 914 to...

Engine, complete and running. 2.4 - 2.7
Hi all,
I’m after an engine to put in my 914. 6 cylinder 150 - 175bhp ish. May consider a 3.0sc
Must have all ancillaries to run but exhaust etc not required unless it’s come out of a 914
What have you got or know where there is something
Cheers
David

Stop patronising me. I unlike you have no commercial relationship with either side in this. You know exactly why you posted your initial helpful recommendation. He has already been engaged by one side of this dispute and you also know full well you were being a smart arse and provoking Brian. Good l...

Re: Independent paint inspector
If you clearly asked for a show winning paint job then that's what it should be. It should be totally flawless. A concours judge from a different circle should be asked to inspect and if he finds any flaw at all then it should be rectified at the painters expense. In this case I believe at least one...

Re: 73 1.7 performance question..
I have driven the Canarydelia 914, and that convinced me to rebuild my 1.7 using light mods rather than go for a large capacity. I will go to 1.9 litre as my pistons and barrels are past their prime. As said in post above, use the rev range - I can confirm, it is jolly good fun The 1.9 conversion s...
