Re: Resto thread for 119100008 69t
Doors seals. Anyone got a preference on what to use ? Is it worth going genuine or are there any remade out there that are good for a 69t? Your thoughts would be beneficial Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk As I remember it the rep rubbers caused some issue and then swapped them out for genuine Se...

Definitely has an Alam Beast look to it. Don't recall that engine lid though it has been a while

Re: Gear Oil other than Swepco
Well Steve at Jaz will be doing the box at the end of May. What's in there is what came in the mass Design 911 button clicking. That's their Millers 75w90 synthetic which doesn't feel great. The idea is that gearbox should take a couple of weeks with time in hand for LMC. In the meantime to go off t...

Re: Gear Oil other than Swepco
Thanks both, I'm leaning towards the Motul. I think the Swepco gained popularity back then as for a bit it was the only game in town and had some success with some of the US racers. Either way it's prett unobtainable these days. Heard good things on the Motul and the price is comparable to other opt...

Re: Gear Oil other than Swepco
Thanks and thanks, so that would be an alternate to the Kendall that's doing the rounds and on sale at Pelican. It's the moisture that I've got in mind on that old Swepco being an issue. Like you say the box will get rebuilt, but I'm not against it going a bit longer before it does either. Sent from...

Gear Oil other than Swepco
As I remember things Swepco was the only thing that was suggested to go into a 915 gearbox. Having a rumage in the garage there's even a gallon of it from way back when (as in about 17 years ago) trouble is that it was opened but not used back then and it doesn't seem very available around these par...

Re: More scary cr@p from DVLA
Someone brave, maybe the Federation (no idea who they are as first I heard of them was in this thread) should put a couple of use cases to the test, I mean it's not as though it's a potentially major threat to them or anything.

Nice one [emoji106].
Most of the time I deploy it's good, but I think it could be better, it's normally followed by saying Ah bollox.

Re: More scary cr@p from DVLA
^ The point is the 'rules' are not clearly defined and the 'fun police' are enforcing them how they see fit. Essentially the DVLA refer to a 'policy' that has not been published so everyone is in the dark about what can and cannot be done .. Surely those rules not being defined cuts both ways. Poli...

Re: More scary cr@p from DVLA
I've just lifted the below from https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-registration/radically-altered-vehicles As I read it and the order that I read it. Replacement parts are allowed if you wish to keep the correct age related plate. But if those parts have been altered from original then it's a Q plate. It th...

Re: Check your pipes
Is that the pipe from the fuel tank to the fuel pump? What ethanol tolerant replacement have you used? Hi Markm, I believe that any fuel hose that is FKM/NBR and meets the SAEJ30R9 standards while withstanding E5 and E10 grades of bio-ethanol petrol formulations will do the job. I was wondering whi...

Re: 911 Forum users please post a picture of your car.
Got approached a few weeks ago to have the 911 used in a photoshoot. Not a terrible way to spend a Monday morning. Though obviously disappointed that they didn't take up the opportunity of using my middle age self to pose with the car [emoji23] https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230306/3aefbe65e7761...
