Now the easy bit, just drill one new hole and replace the battered, old, 'sticky out' number plate with a nice new 'sticky on' one.. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220808/7cdc8026720797b1c08f282d76b18c40.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220808/fecc2b365e5bd630cc76ec500c2e720b.jpg All done ...

Bonnet Crests
Hi All Question for the all knowing DDK hive mind... I have a pair of what I believe to to be 80's Porsche bonnet crests (they came off my 550 'rep'). So what I'm asking is are they 'real' Porsche parts and what (if anything) are they worth? https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220808/b01bf8d84cb7e471...

Re: M&W 550 Overhaul...
Afternoon All So in the true DDK fashion of 'not leaving things well alone', it's time to tidy up a few little details (shinny stuff curtesy of Roger Bray and Fibersteel). There's nothing major involved, just a few holes to drill... https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220728/2df68fc9e44e2d1c3a84d9eb2...

Very little, just a good clean up of the idle jets and tweak here and there…hot66 wrote:Did it need much adjustment?
Runs smoother now, with a little less popping but still very loud (which is nice)!

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?
Hi All Not strictly today, but last week I managed to get the 550 ‘rep’ in for a quick rolling road tune, not looking for bragging rights or power figures (I can’t help feeling at only a thousand miles I can’t take hearing it screaming at its rev limit), simply after sorting out a flat spot or two… ...

Think long and hard before you sell, good old Porsches are hard to find, but old cars that we have real ties to are irreplaceable!

Great hillclimb weekend for the Lola and us. 2 class wins today, miles ahead of a full class, this engine is a cracker! https://i.postimg.cc/90kz4vLt/IMG-1640.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/zBVyJzjX/IMG-1644.jpg That's great news Graham It must make all the 'Grief' getting the engine to work worth it! Hi Al Looks like a nice project and what could be nicer than a 'Sepia' 2.4T (I have a soft spot for LHD T's)? Love the seat trim and good call on the 'standard' bumper! Looking forward to your future posts. All the best Ian F. PS. Don't take this the wrong way but... "Welcome to the Brown Broth...
