I recommend that you take the car to whoever does the job for the final fitting. Go for a good 80mph test drive before its signed off too.

You would also be surprised how much the front bulkhead contributes to the wind noise. Make sure its fully sealed up behind the dash.

Update. The 902/1 box has a aluminium case

If your friend is in Ireland they are in luck. I was looking at a spare 3.2 in Cork on last Sunday.

We have 902/1 gearbox serial no 236908
It has a magnesium case and was working well last time I drove the car but a rebuild is recommended, which we do in-house if you want.

We have a alloy case 915/61 in the gearbox shop now. Its stripped, cleaned and all the new parts are on hand to re-assemble it. Option to fit it with a Quaife ATB too. Its a "house" gearbox that we would normally keep on the shelf in case of urgent need. Sale price depends on what you have...

Passenger side please. The complete rocking seat mount that bolts to the bottom of the original seats.
