Re: Voltage Regulator
Replaced my voltage regulator with this... https://sslrelay.com/type911shop.co.uk/shop/article_993/911-1972-74-Voltage-Regulator.html and the batteries are now charging at a steady 13.5V - much better. However, the screeching / crackling sound is actually the CDI box, so I'm guess it's been damaged ...

Re: Voltage Regulator
Thanks for the link Andy, although strange that the eBay advert lists it as being compatible with the 2.2 and 2.4T, but not the E, S or RS - why would that be? I'd like to try and sort mine out before Hedingham at the weekend as when I measured charging voltage this evening it varies between 13.9 an...

Re: Voltage Regulator
Interesting - I don't mind it being solid state (probably better in many ways!) as long as it looks fairly original. I'd certainly prefer to less for an identical unit!

I'd prefer to stay as original as I can, so was looking at this, but not sure if it'd do the job?... https://sslrelay.com/type911shop.co.uk/ ... lator.html

Voltage Regulator
I think my Motorola voltage regulator may be on its way out as with the ignition on I can hear it buzzing and crackling, which changes/stops when I knock on it. I've had a regulator go in the past, which killed my CDI and boiled both batteries, so I'm keen to try and avoid this happening again! Wher...

Distributor
Does anyone happen to know where I can buy a new Bosch distributor cap, a 7300rpm rotor arm and a set of points fairly quickly (next day delivery, ideally)? In the past I'm sure I bought them from my local Eurocarparts, but whilst they can get the cap, they don't list a 7300rpm rotor arm and don't e...

I saw a silver one too this afternoon on the A286 coming from Chichester to Haslemere - I guess it was coming back from Goodwood? It certainly stands out from the crowd!

I think I saw at Goodwood FoS that they're currently updating this and will be re-publishing next year.

A great little film, although an expensive restoration option by the sounds of it!

Re: MCY182L - 1973 Porsche 911 2.4E
Darren,
Do you happen to have a photo of your seat belt receptacle and inertia reel? I'm curious to see how the receptacles are fixed to the seats or floor and the reel is attached in the back of your car.
Thanks...Simon.
