Re: LED headlights - now cost effective option.

FWIW, I have a set of the RPM ones in my car. They're well made and feel solid. Getting the alignment right was a bit of a pain with some Hella lenses as they didn't protrude far enough to allow movement within the headlight unit, but I bought some cheapies from a VW heritage website which work. The...

Re: Throttle Bodies

I've decided to buy a set of PMOs with the full fitting kit. I know, I'm a chicken. That means these are back for sale for what I paid; £225 posted within Mainland UK. I can take some more photos if people want, however they look just the same. I opened the box to check all the bits are there and th...

Re: Throttle Bodies

Cool. I'll take them. At worst if I run out of talent to make them fit I can punt them on. These could end up being the most passed around throttle bodies ever. A PM will be on it's way.

Cheers.

Re: Throttle Bodies

I was looking at sourcing an EFI PMO ITB setup, but these are very tempting. It looks like I'd need to find throttle linkage parts plus insulators/adapters to stand them off the heads and make the footprint fit. Then it's throttle position sender and an ECU to control it all. It could work out consi...

Re: Throttle Bodies

What size are they? If they're 40mm or above I'll take them.

Re: The ultimate Anti - Porsche?

I had a passenger ride in an F40 a few years ago. Truly thrilling and exhilarating, but not suited to the bumpy country roads of Lincolnshire. It bobbed and weaved more than Mohammed Ali in his prime.

Re: Porsche Purchase

I enjoyed my 993. A lovely car to drive. Some of the character of an air-cooled car, but modern enough to use everyday. I've never driver a 964, but been a passenger in my friend's a few times. That has much more of the earlier 911 feel to it. If I had £50k available and was in the market I'd buy th...

Re: Christmas Card to you all!

Merry Christmas to all at DDK. This is a genuinely friendly forum and I hope to meet a few more of you next year, even if I am a bit of an imposter in an SC.

I'll drink to your good health!

Re: Glass Fitting Ooop North.

The front on mine is a better fit than the rear, but neither is pretty and both have corners of the trims standing proud of the seals. I have a whistle from the O/S front bottom corner at motorways speeds too. The rear is a real pigs ear, but I reused my original rear glass and a brand new Porsche s...

Re: Glass Fitting Ooop North.

Both front and back screen seals are brand new, genuine Porsche. I'll have a look for Stuby and give him a shout.

Glass Fitting Ooop North.

My glass is not fitted very prettily. My trims were a bit out of shape and they didn't sit perfectly when they went back in. The glass fitter blamed the trims and there wasn't much I could do but pay him. I have some brand new aluminium trims and would like someone who knows what they're doing to co...

Re: Decembers mild weather

I took the 911 out for a spin. Went to Sewerby Hall. It was still bracing up on the clifftop, but nice to get a drive when I thought I would have to wait until Spring.

Re: Post-project: bliss or blues?

Will I feel different next year when the sun's out? Will I feel different when all the bugs are ironed out? Will they ever be ironed out? Will I feel different if ever it stops raining? I know *exactly* how you feel. I have poured a significant amount of money (for me) and time (for anyone) into my...

Re: Decals

I've bought a number of times from Pawel at Carbone. The quality is great and although delivery isn't lightning fast from Poland to the UK, I've never had anything go missing. They'll even make something special order if you send them an email. They communicate well in English. Well, certainly bette...
