Terry was the Chamonix agent who was bought out and employed by us, the current distributor. Chamonix the body supplier then went bust and following a period of limited supply we have gone into business with Special Editions to produce Beck cars solely in North America, hence the renaming to Beck Eu...

Beck Speedster, Spyder and 904

Just to let all you replica fanatics out there know, in a bizarre twist of fate, I have recently got involved with the UK agent for the Beck range of replicas from the USA. The business has been mothballed for a few months and we are just going through some restructuring including rebranding as Beck...

Anyone fancy a go at this....1962 Cabrio project?

Ok, not mine, but I have just been offered a LHD 1962 356B Cabrio project. Its a factory cabrio, and the numbers tie up with my books, plus is reasonably complete, with engine, 'box, all the glass, hood frame etc etc. Vendor reckons all thats major missing is the drums and wheels, but I haven't seen...

1967 VW Split Screen bus - supplied new to Porsche.....

Hello all, I currently have in my possession a 1967 Bus, which when new was supplied to Porsche Konstruktionen in Austria, and comes complete with a little booklet signed by Louise Piech, Ferdinand Porsche's daughter. Now, I know that Porsche Konstruktionen were Porsche's sister company in Austria a...

Kidney Bowls......

OK, friend of mine has just sold his really really nice 3.2 Carrera for what could best be described as "top money", a car which he has lavished love and attention on and looked after with no expense spared. It was essentially an immaculate car. Guy who bought it inspected it himself and a...

Just my two penneth, but if you want a car that looks "correct" don't go down the Apal or Chesil route. A lot of these European Speedster reps originated from the same set of moulds, and as a consequence have the same flaws, the most obvious being the headlights are too high, when compared...

1988 Anniversary edition Carrera Targa, whats it worth?

Just been offered one of these, condition not too bad, 81k miles and all the special bits still there like the metallic, yes "metallic" blue leather seats. Is it worth any more than a normal 80's Targa? I can't seem to turn up much info other than its 1 of 10 Targas of the 50 (30 Coupe 10 ...

I told that dentist to ring me when he wanted to sell it......Thought I hadn't seen it about recently.

Not a bad little earner, doubling his money (less commission) in four years.

Well, its sat there and unless someone takes it on, I think it'll still be sat there in another 5 years time!
Had a couple of pm regarding bids on the price, but its is definitely £7k and he won't take any offers. I guess worst case scenario, you could claw the cost back from the parts?
