Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?

Hi all, so having searched the site a fair bit I can see that many of you know the car I just bought. A white 1974 Carrera 2.7 Mfi, I believe it was owned by a member that sadly passed away. Nigel Sellicks (NigelC210). I never met Nigel but can see he clearly loved the car and some of you spent much...

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?

For the first weekend in ages I did absolutely nothing I didn't want to. I had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend tinkering with the 3.2 in the sunshine tracking down the cause of an erratic idle. I worked through the DME test plan, checking every wire, fuel pressure, vacuum hose, power supply, air flo...

No just the pump on a plinth! :P

I am trying to resist dreaming till I can lock in my budget but would love a later higher hp car.

Re: Current insurer of choice

Had been with Adrian Flux for circa 7 vehicles over 10 years but they refused to cover my 993 and given I was on the chaps driveway to buy it thinking it would be a shoe in was a pain! Have moved both to Lockton. Agreed value, anyone over 35 can drive both and I can drive anything not owned by famil...

For sale soon!

Have decided to sell my 993 and 912 to fund an Mfi. Interesting timing having just spent shed loads on both but then when did logic ever work out! Busy talking to people about selling cars and looking forward to fun part once that side is all done! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230616/801a25d23...

Re: KS's hillclimbing odyssey

Thanks for the update Keith. Thanks - I'm worried that it seems too self indulgent, but intend it to be a real world look at what it's like to get involved at the budget end of motorsport, warts, frustrations and all... Agreed…not a bit of it… part of my weekly routine to see how people are ...

Re: More scary cr@p from DVLA

This is beyond infuriating. They are just causing people worry and distress for absolutely no real gain. It is embarrassing. The point made about new vehicle repairs earlier in the thread is bang on, We had an EV hit ground coming out of a ramped car park, new battery required as structural part of ...
