Re: cracked case
Speak to Alan Barker from EMP engineering, they weld both aluminium and magnesium crankcases - he'll advise on best way forwards.

I remember it well as was racing in the PCGB club championship race - my first venture at racing in England and a bit of a change from Kirkistown and Mondello Park.. Great weekend.

Re: 1975 911 2.7S Reasons not to buy Reasons to buy
Firstly it depends if the 1975 2.7S is US specification or Euro. The US 75 engines had many issues.... I have a 74 US spec Carrera 2.7 US spec, the 74 engines didn't have the issues the 75 US engines had, incidentally the same car model Clive had stolen in France. More info on the car would be good....

Re: Le Mans Classic 3-5 July 2020 - booking now open!!
Agree with both follow up posts, its a new world and events will run but the format has yet to be devised, my industry (Events) are the most creative at working through these sort of issues - so it will happen. But football, rugby etc. have the same issues can anyone see Wembley, Twickenham, Aviva -...

Re: Le Mans Classic 3-5 July 2020 - booking now open!!
OK - this is how I see it. My business, and current lack of business for me is in the exhibition sector, part of the overall events sector where Covid19 has decimated it, the same goes for live entertainment, sport and many others. This post is not meant as a rant by me and how I've been personally ...

Re: Dehumidifiers ...
^ Much easier to control if you have insulation. The space I’ve got the dehumidifier in is not insulated and has a tin roof which drips through condensation. Car metalwork/tools are all wet to the touch. The dehumidifier solves all of this. It’s a pretty small unit and the space is 6m x 5m. I have ...

Re: Dehumidifiers ...
I'm no scientist, but surely the question is condensation? Is it therefore not a question of ventilation to keep things under control - for example as a carcoon would do i.e constantly replacing the air and taking the moisture out (i.e. wet car) by doing so? As a side bar I'm building a lockdown man...

Re: How to light a garage space?
I bought surface mounted LED panels approx 4' x 1' (1200mm x 300mm) at something like £25-30 each from a german seller on ebay, but see them now in uk from various sources, brilliant lighting and will post pics if you need. very easy to fit and wire up and each held in place easily with 4 small scre...

Speak to your local paint / body shop. The guys we have beside us in belfast once did a job with clear primer. I'd suggest there is a clear primer and top coat on the market that will do your job.

Re: Wanted: Copies of FIA Sporting Regulations 1956 - 1968,
Hi Stephen - if you can be more specific I might be able to help, i.e. what car are you trying to build? The app J is on the FIA website so easy to download for each year, so what is the query?
