That is lovely! I haven't looked at prices in a while although I was bidding on a reasonably tidy runner on ebay about a year ago.

Re: car cutting out
Possibly a blocked filter in the tank.
Try filling it and see how you go.A small amount of fuel in the tank will be more likely to pick up small particles of debris.

Re: My '73 914
A cracking day out at the Gawsworth show today. The car sat in a measured 28 degrees for 6 hours and the sail panels didn’t fall off. Great response from fellow club members to the sole 914 on display  https://s18.postimg.cc/g2vnqhjc9/3038_FD5_C-94_C8-4168-_ACEC-_BFD29_D1_C44_F6.jpg

Re: Classic motorbike 2 stroke experts?
I have come to a dead stop on this. I am just ploughing the same field over and over, so engine out and apart tomorrow. Something very basic is wrong. These engines need good primary and secondary compression along with a well timed healthy spark. You will find that they start and run fairly happil...

Re: Classic motorbike 2 stroke experts?
Old two strokes were not designed to run on modern thin oil's and a nice thick single grade oil will help to seal the crank. I would say that primary compression is almost definitely your problem. A leak down test will confirm this. Many of these vintage engines have been converted to a modern style...

I have looked into having a batch made but they would be cost prohibitive.

Re: Over mats
I had them specially commissioned. The quality is as good as OEM Porsche over mats. https://s5.postimg.org/p2ycefswn/455F20C8-22B7-4EE2-85E2-D9E31592E41A.jpg https://s5.postimg.org/yaqkv4s93/EF301E94-C874-40E7-8828-10AB6C3BEAC2.jpg https://s5.postimg.org/o0o5vvunr/5D0115DD-C456-4D01-B19A-C7263808485...
