Great to hear that you are doing a proper job with the reinforcements and the trailing arms. Look forward to seeing and reading about the progress with this.

I'll take the 215/60s as well. !!!
These are definitely what I will fit to mine when it's back on the road.

Re: 1975 Carrera 2.7 MFI
Hi Guy SD and CS are the old Ayrshire registrations. My73 RS was OSD xxxx The first car I ever bought with my own hard earned cash was an Astra GTE reg. Number TCS 7Y. What a great car. The old box shape was good on the eye too. Wish I still had that motor. I take it the 74 car was not a Carrera ? ...

Re: 1975 Carrera 2.7 MFI
It’s great that it has come ‘home’. Glen Henderson in Ayr supplied many very rare pre-impact bumper cars including the only 73 RS ever registered in Scotland. I wonder if your’s was the only 2.7 MFI Carrera ever registered in Scotland Tom? There could have been one in 74. I wrote and called at Glen...

Re: 2.7 Carrera
Tom, The standard Fuchs on the Carrera 2.7 MFI were 6&7x15 with petals. This size could also be ordered with black or Gazelle (gold) centres. The 7&8x15s were available as an option with either black or Gazelle centres. The 7&8x15 was not normally available with petals although there are...

I did some work with Ryan on the book although he only lists the total production numbers not LHD and RHD totals.

Re: 2.7 Carrera
This is 'the other' silver 1975 coupe, not the Taylor & Crawley one. I haven't seen it in the flesh but I believe the current owner is quite meticulous and it certainly looks good in the photos. There is as usual though a bit of poetic licence with the production numbers. There were a total of 6...

Re: Any uk personal tax experts on here
If you earn over 100k your personal allowance is withdrawn at £1 for every £2 over which leads to an additional tax liability not collected through PAYE.
Effectively means you pay 62% tax between 100K and about 124K

Andrew,
When the door is closed they sit on top of the window frame. They were later replaced by a 'velvet' door seal which ran all along the top and down the inside of the windscreen pillar.

Re: interior lighting
It exits through the large roundish aperture to the rear of where the bonnet hinge fixes to the inner wing. When I fitted mine I passed some gardening type metal wire from the top and fished it out of the aperture in the inner wing. I then attached the wiring to this and pulled it back through. It t...

Jon, date stamp is on the hub around the outside of the splines. Should be year (3,4 or 5) followed by week number.

Re: Flares....
Jon's '76 C3 is fitted with a later interior and the steering wheel has also obviously been changed.
As you say Andy the original wheel was discontinued in early 1975.
