Re: Custom/besoke Porsche leather keyrings *UNIQUE*

Got mine, thanks. Now just need to fix the car so I can get some use out of the keys and the new key ring.

Re: cdi failure - what happens?

SilverWT (Mark) over on IB has been one of Jonny's test mules so might be worth asking him if either his original unit or the unit he has been running for Jonny is available.

Re: Cigarette lighter socket size (SC)?

Thinking about swapping mine out for some USB ports instead as virtually everything is USB'd these days. Unless you still use it to light a very special cuban - which I don't.

Re: F1 VW?

I was thinking about this and I tried to think about it from a marketing angle. The only one of their stable I thought that might 'fit' F1 is Lambo. Maybe my view is skewed, but for various reasons the other brands didn't connect for me (eg Audi for me are DTM or LMP1, Bentley - LMP1, Seat - rallyin...

Re: F1 Question : What is this for?

After years of exploiting exotic materials in the aero packages, new cost restrictions coming in for 2017 means that some team are now experimenting with wrought iron set ups. The blacksmith who has put these together advises that the weight will aid mechanical grip and the £785,000 cost of each 1 y...

Re: Help Needed ! Colourblind man. Black or white script ??

Red. Or nothing. Or whatever you want. The scripts aren't expensive and are easy to put on/remove. What about 2 colour? I have seen the earlier stripes with an option to have Porsche lettering in a different colour.

Re: London Classic Car Show - 8-11 Jan - ExCel

I went with couple of friends this afternoon for a stroll round to look at some cars and for what it was, it was fine. Not big, not a huge variety of cars nor stands, but easily beat being in the office and got round pretty much all of it in the afternoon. Bought the cheapo, afternoon only tickets, ...

Re: 1987 3.2 Carrera Backdate project - Sladeys hotrod

Love those fixes Mark, well done. My 915 box was terrible, until I removed the old bushes and replaced with new. Like you, I feared the worst but for very few beans and a bit of time, much sweeter box. Jon's comment is a bit unfair, but mine has been rebuilt once already (at 80k) so not wildly wide ...

Re: iPhone 6, should I bother?

I have gone from a 4s to the 6 and find it a step forward, although it is not as distinctive. 4G as said above is a massive improvement. I haven't had any problems with my iPhones over the years, but then I don't drop them as often as my kids seem to (3rd screen recently fitted on daughter's phone)....

Re: Jacking up.

I bought that one for the family bus but also use it on the 911 for the extra height over my other jack. Only issue I have found is it seems to stick when lowering and the weight of the car is off of it, so I sometimes have to lift the car a bit with another jack to get this one out so I can stand o...
