Re: Jet Power

Ok, this is what I have got. If I understand things correctly, the main jet is marked 120, and the E-tube is marked F11: https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4255/35515999306_d1b0c66606_k.jpg https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4206/34746030033_4ee5231ff8_k.jpg I've sent the info to Richard Parr and I'll see if ...

Jet Power

The PMOs on my newly rebuilt engine need attention. One of the things Russell Lewis discovered when he stripped it down was that the plugs used to block up the old injector ports slightly fouled the inlet manifold. That resulted in air leaks between the heads and manifold, and when the car was set u...

It appears likely that the spark box wasn't getting power; possibly due to a slightly loose three pin plug.

Re: 1973 2.4T CIS Restomod

Well, life has got in the way! By 'life' I mean a move to a new gaff 60 miles away, and a new job. Mysteriously one-bed double garages were in short supply when I was looking for a place, so while the new Shoestring Towers does have a garage, it's not big enough for an immobile 911 along with two bi...

Richard Parr PMO

Does anyone have Richard's email address? If so I'd be grateful if they could PM me - I know he doesn't give it out freely but I've corresponded with him via in the past about the set of 40mm carbs I bought from him, and I've a query about jetting. I'm not sure if the free fax I sent him on Tuesday ...

Re: Goodwood Breakfast 4th June Soft Top Sunday

Probably one of the best Breakfasts for a while; great weather, good turn-out and just the right sized crowd. As the guy on Pistonheads put it: " Much improved over the Supercar debacle, but then it wasn't rammed with utter cocks". Because of the late change in ticketing arrangements, on-o...

Goodwood Breakfast 4th June Soft Top Sunday

If anyone is planning to attend as a billy (I think vehicle display spaces are now all taken) please be aware that Goodwood have just announced this will be a ticket (but no charge) only event in future. There were significant problems last month as the number of people at Supercar Sunday were more ...

Re: I need a helmet....

Just thought I'd chip in: I'm not really convinced about the multiple impact thing; try falling off a bike at high speed and sliding down the road with only one impact - although the shells might be re-inforced differently. All helmets are made in the same way; composite (better quality) or molded p...

There are a couple of Airstreams already in storage here - along with a few million pounds worth of old Porsches amongst lots of others.

Re: 1973 2.4T CIS Restomod

Exactly a year to the day since we pulled the engine out it was time for it to go back in. Russell Lewis delivered it to me last week, I've got a more substantial dolly this time (should it become again necessary to drag it half a mile down the road!) and it fitted perfectly: https://c1.staticflickr...

Available again. I'll take DDK offers for a few days before they go on the bay.
