A car will become a cat C or D write-off due to an insurance company deciding that a repair is not commercially viable - often the damage can be very minor especially if the car has a low market value. Providing a repair is carried out to a good standard often there is nothing wrong with these cars ...

As for your work - experts with a very sharp eye might possibly raise an eyebrow but to me and i'm sure most others......

Looks like it was fitted, with the most likely original, cookie cutters which were standard on the E in 1973. And of course forward dated with the big rear wing which was very comon at the time. Ian. If the condition of my car meant the same level of restoration was required I don't think I would have the heart to visit Chestertons until it was finished!
