Re: 964 C2 - Rolling Resto

I wondered who would end up buying that car, sounds like it might have found the correct owner :) Might be a controversial view but I would be tempted suggest NOT tearing into the engine right away. Yes I know it has a few 'issues' but sounds like it runs and drives and you can have some fun in it d...

Re: 19th rs track day oulton park 8th march 19.

Another great RS day, wet but still fantastic fun. I really don't mind the wet track - as long as you take it easy and leave some margin for error it still feels risk/reward friendly. Very old rear R888's and fresh fronts was a bit of a handful when it got really wet but seemed to work nice in the d...

This is worth a (skim) watch:

Seems like they used the 930 as a visual inspiration for some of the curves and details.

Re: 19th rs track day oulton park 8th march 19.

I booked a garage. Do you get the whole thing? I'm sharing with Nick Fulljames so far. IIRC 1 garage booking is one side of the double garages. Normally room for a couple of cars if you aren't to precious about being able to drive in from the pits and out onto the track (Which is pointless anyway a...

Re: 964 Remote plastic case

if UK car the alarm sytems etc were all aftermaket fitted by the OPC's werent' they ? Thinks so, that case doesn't look very Porsche to me. If I were you I'd remove anything associated with that alarm and return the car to standard - my bet is you will find some badly spliced wires & horrible s...

Re: Anyone in Warwick / Northampton / Coventry got a car lif

If you dont get any free offers of a lift you could maybe consider a place like this:

http://thisisyourgarage.com

I use TIYG when my lift is occupied by something I cant move, good bunch of guys and only an hour or so from Warwick. IIRC its about £15 an hour or £100 for a full day.

Re: Garage flooring recommendations - paint vs tiles vs ...?

I always leaned towards some kind of industrial grade epoxy resin paint (once self levelling compound has been applied) to prevent the paint from peeling from hot car tyres, however it seems interlocking tiles (PVC/rubber) are very popular these days. Any first hand recommendations and advice would...
