I've posted this on the 911 forum as well, but can anyone tell me where to get a rear numberplate light? I need to fit some sort of light - the garage are insisting on putting one in just in case there is any comeback on them, so we're fitting something as a stopgap in the meantime. I want to fit so...

Number plate lights

Can anyone tell me where to get a rear numberplate light for an early 911? I'm backdating my '87 911 and this has come up. I want to fit something to the rear underside of the engine cover so that it can't be seen from the outside. What & where was the original fitment? - if anyone has got any p...

Thanks for those pics Tim - I've laminated one to take down to the garage as they were interested in seeing before & after shots Just been down now and the front bumper is on - it's looking good http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a314/markslade/DSC00143.jpg However I'm not entirely happy with the...

Not if I can avoid it!

Actually no I don't come across very often - but I might do a bit more after this - there are some great roads in derbyshire.

I actually work in Sutton in Ashfield which is just across the border - & that's where the car is being worked on

Cheers

Er... it HAS taken months - I put it in the garage on the 5th September! Anyway it's moving along brilliantly now & thanks for your comments. I've never actually liked the ducktails, until I saw a very early video of an RS going through some curves - then I could see the appeal. However I just r...

Hi there, My backdate project is nearly complete but I would be grateful if you'd post any pics you've got of a 911 with the bonnet open, specifically trying to show how the front bumper seal sits where the wing joins the bonnet We've got one long front bumper seal, which is meant to run from wheel ...

Aerial Suggestions

I'm backdating my 87 carrera and have replaced the windscreen with an aftermarket heated one. The old one also contained the radio aerial. 1. Can anyone recomment a source of good quality chrome aerials 2. Which wing should it go in? Or is there a less obtrusive alternative to this? I hate the thoug...

I haven't dared to plan anything on the basis that if you'd told me in September that it wouldn't be ready by Christmas I would have laughed. These final bits do seem to move a bit faster though so I'm hoping to have it back next week. Unfortunately I can't do the 19th but I will definately want to ...
