Lovely colour that one in the vid JT.
Enjoying the details in your thread. Keep it coming.
Beautiful car. They say the E type is the nicest but that is a sublime curvaceous body.

Re: Amazing barn find and a journey of discovery
Ok, further correction, I’ve now got the official confirmation. You were right Ian, the wheels are dated 1/69 and are 14’s. My bad. Sorry.

Re: Amazing barn find and a journey of discovery
The wheels were changed. From memory they are all dated the same 1/69. This presumably was part of the works completed by the factory for Robs Lamplough when it was also converted to rhd. See page 28 second post for my discussion with the Borders owner. These are the wheels which are part of its his...

Re: Amazing barn find and a journey of discovery
Hi Ian
I haven’t seen the finished car in person but, yes, it’s the 2012 barn find and I’m expecting it to have 15x6 inch Fuchs. Built in June 1968 it is the earliest lwb 911 with many swb parts from new when it was a Versuch factory mule.

James, the car is being unveiled to the public, along with the background/history/restoration details, at a location in Europe in early December. Brendan and I have been kindly invited to the event and...

Re: Another early S bites the dust
What’s the definition of ‘crushing the shell’ following salvaging parts?
Can you save all the removable body panels? Can you save body parts by cutting them off including the roof?
Can you take tanks (petrol and oil?), engine and gearbox? Wheels?
Just how much has to be left to crush?

Mike

Looks to have one of those white plastic 3D printed fan blades.
Wood dash on a 66?
The Americans love pepita. Not many were originally that way. Is there a COA?
