Re: Out side storage covers, question?
I used to have one of these http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorsport/covers-shelters/hamilton-autopod-outdoor-vehicle-storage-solution-6-6m-x-3-0m You really need fixings in the concrete for the ropes and base hoops otherwise it will blow over. The steel frame eventually got destroyed anyway on a pa...

Re: Car Storage Options - Airchamber vs Cair-o-Port...or oth
Thank you Peter for the feedback and thank you Squire too. I currently have two cars at Windrush and the problem is that unless the cost at somewhere like Historit is substantially cheaper the cost gets quite eye watering in the long term. The service and standards applied to car storage at Windrush...

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?
 Can you get the car in there? Ha yes it does fit, honest. Obviously minus the chest freezer currently in there. /\ I know we all want a man-cave, but that's ridiculous. C> I'd prefer not to have a rock face as there is 20 foot of it above the garage and it's not the most solid I have ever s...

Re: Car Storage Options - Airchamber vs Cair-o-Port...or oth
Interested in this thread as I need something in which to keep my car. I have always previously dehumidified my garages with great results but this is not an option where I am now. I too am concerned about 'bubble' storage without a dehumidifier as Cornish winters are very damp. Are people choosing ...

Started work on modifying the garage so there will be room to store the car at the house https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-k7Fo0r2JtSw/U_I4_LWOI0I/AAAAAAAADoE/1n7M9Hu3G28/s800/photo%25201-9.JPG Busy weekend and done. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-7OY0nnZM_sI/U_xFtPa-e4I/AAAAAAAADo0/5s-ieb_SHU...

Nearly three times the price of one I looked at last year but of course the price is all in the detail.

Re: Mfi cold start
Hi Paul, from memory power to the solenoid on top of the fuel filter comes from one of the electrical gubins on the panel in the engine compartment just inside on the left as you look in. Unfortunately I am away on my travels at the moment so do not have access to the wiring diagram and pictures I h...

Re: what would cause this?
If alignment checks out OK then it is likely caused by wear in the rubber parts of the front suspension. All looks fine when checked stationary but goes out of alignment as speed increases.

Re: Who still owns their first car?
Not quite but last year when I sold my house and moved I disposed of my MK1 Austin Cooper which I bought when 19 and therefore owned for 30 years. For the last 15 of those years it had just sat in the corner of the garage forlorn and neglected so I gave it to my neighbor who races an Austin A30 and ...

Re: Small Fan Housing
You have not thought this through have you Darren :- )
You should go and research fans, pully ratios, air flow rates, oil cooling vs air cooling, etc. Set aside a day to do it.

Re: Another nice 911 at Silverstone Auctions
Porsche auction prices seem to be very inconsistent at the moment. I see a fifty thousand mile 993 Targa sold for 49K at the auction. No that is not a misprint. And with the wrong wheels fitted. Blimey.
