I must be approaching my first oil/filter change and have ben reading this with interest. I'm nearly 3000 miles in though it has used none and it is still reasonably clear. What oil and what interval?

Am 1 month/1500 miles into my new daily driver, a '61 356B T5 and it's just blown a hole in the 4-2-1 side exit exhaust.
