I can confirm that the small rectangular side mirrors retailed by PAG are nice and clean, although they are the same quality as the aftermarket ones. Did your car come with that little S bend in the lower section of the tube?
My car was so rotten in those sections that more or less the whole front part of the car was rebuild.
