Drive shaft / CV upgrade
All As you know I intend using 911 drive shafts (68-72) for my car in readiness for the SC engine. I have now determined by what I have ordered, how to make it work which may be of use to some of you. Whichever of the number of options you go down it looks as though new driveshafts are required beca...

Andrew 69-73 stub axles go into 914 rear wheel bearings - that is what is on my car. Curiously I remember that the box also had 924/944 part numbers, so they may well work with the 944 stub axles too. Using the 911 parts with 911 discs also allows you to retro fit a 911 handbrake assembly over the s...

Hi Andrew I understand the inners are 4 bolt and x2 roll pins. The outers are 6 bolt, and match to the same year stub axles. I thought 914 shafts were shorter, so if proven wrong it will simply discount the shortening exercise and I will have to have new ones made (probably not a bad thing). My unde...

My car currently runs 914 inner CVs with VW derivered outer ones matched to '73 911E stubs. Strangely, I have only ever broken the drivers side inner CV joint, and each time the cage that holds the balls in place (ooer missus) breaks - twice damaging the gearbox output flange. You are right that 911...

914/4 Exhaust (s) for sale
All for sale due to the 6 cylinder conversion of my sprint car. 1. Equal length stainless 1&5/8" (I think) headers 4 into 1 with the normal stubby ends (for the heads with recessed exhaust ports). 1 header pipe has been cut and shut, reducing it's length a little, because originally it gave...

All My sprint car with pretty much all the mods Andrew described and both seats in is bang on 900kg with no fuel at all - until I ate all the pies I had to ballast the car with 5kg of fuel (with a dry sumped 4 cylinder motor)My car is converted to RHD, so this inevitable adds a bit of weight, and I ...

911 / 914 parts for sale
All - time for a garage clearout, any good homes out there for these bits? Full set of early 911 steel calipers with matching discs (19/20mm thickness). Calipers painted blue but don't let that put you off - fronts were rebuilt and the rears were exchange units - both done 5k miles - £200 the lot (i...
