Hi Andy,

Steve (the owner) says it could be next week! I think that's a bit optimistic - I'd be happy with any time before Christmas. Can't wait to drive it again though - this nissan micra is p1ssing me off.

Gary - yes - it does look very similar to yours.

Thanks everyone for all your comments - yes I'm very excited. Had small problem with the heated windscreen - the company supplying it won't deliver it! The garage are going to have to send someone down there to pick it up which is a bit of a pain and will add to the cost of the windscreen. Just popp...

Just went on the site - for a 3.2 carrera it recommended redstuff ceramic but I couldn't find a description of this anywhere on the site - only of redstuff - did you phone them to discuss it?

Yes - that's why I'm going with the 'off-road' ride height

- until I can drop it and turn it into a snow plough that is

Spacers

Does anyone have any experience or comments, good or bad, on the use of spacers on the rear wheels? I'm backdating my 87 3.2 and previously had 9x17" wheels at the rear which filled the arches nicely. I've gone to 8x15 Fuchs, which look a bit narrower in the arch (It's hard to tell until the ri...

Tyre Help - Michelin Pilots

In the middle of my backdate project and I'm now fitting the tyres onto my refurb'd 15" Fuchs. When I last bought tyres (For my previous 17" cup wheels) I was advised by 930 Motorsport to make sure the rears had an "N" in the size as this indicated that they had strengthened side...

Backdating windscreen washer - what's the solution

I'm in the middle of a backdating project (1987 carrera to 1973ish), and have had to remove the windscreen washer bottle when fitting the early wings. I know this is a common problem but wonder what other people have done to get around it? I know Keith Seume mentioned this in his backdating article ...

James - glad to hear it - thought you'd got too much time and or money to respray it now! Jean thanks for the good wishes, and sounds like yours is going to be well cool. I presume you don't need the black grill any more? Just picked up my Fuchs from Biagio today - looking great http://i14.photobuck...

Thanks for that James - I'm actually past that problem now but I like the look of that exhaust - maybe for the future.... What's with your car!! You've only had it 3 months and you've go the glass out - what are you doing with it? If you don't want to post it here stick it under your own entry on th...

OK - got a bit more progress now - it's sort of drifted on a bit over the last few weeks - Once they'd got over the problem of the rear bumper (Which was solved by cutting a small amount away from the bottom of it), they then had to make some new brackets for the front bumper as well. They then star...

As I had trouble sleeping last night I thought I'd give Autofarm a call this morning to see what they had to say about the exhaust thing. They said that yes it does foul against the exhaust but not by very much, and they cut away part of the rear bumper - this is apparently visible from the outside ...
