Karmann Konnection www.karmannkonnection.com have ali ones, not cheap but very nice. There's an american company that do them aswell, can't remember the site but they do mirrors and a load of other 356 stuff - anyone?

Having now seen them I'm 99% sure they are Scat Pro Car Seats. Often fitted to custom VWs with frames made to go on Beetle floorpans :wink:
