Thanks everyone, should have taken the day off work and gone for a sunny drive in the Porsche! Treated it to a wash at the weekend to celebrate it being 43 on 1st June, need to find more time to use it before the trip to Le Mans.

I have one of those in my car and never figured out what it is for and haven't managed to trace where the wires go yet. My car was never fitted with a rear wiper so not for that. Be good to know what it is!

The rocker switch you describe sounds like the sunroof switch on my car.
