My fitter tells me old seals are better than new ones, so does anybody have a good used seal please? Car is an '87 but I think that makes it an '86 model year, hence a '78-'87 seal rather than the later '87-'89 version.
Thanks, Chris.

Re: Bit of Insurance info modified '73T
Hi there Graham, I've just renewed both my cars with adrian Flux @ £300 for 2 x 3000 miles, agreed values add up to about £65k. White one is near standard, blue one is a much modified 3.2. £300 is cheaper than Classicline's renewal for the blue one alone! Shop around..... Remember when all classic c...

Saw a sad 356 yesterday.....
Yes, doing a job at the old Trumans brewery off Brick Lane in E London. Pulled in to the entrance to the rear parking lot from Brick Lane and there under cover of the building above but open to the elements otherwise was a 356 cab in blue under a covering of about 10mm of dust, flat tyres and no dou...

Re: High revving 3.2: what is needed?
Graham, sorry to side-swipe your thread, but it has got me thinking..... Next week my newly built 3.4 gets dyno tested and tuned. It has a Canems ECU so the rev limiter can be set anywhere I choose, but where should I set it? Spec is Std 3.2 crank and rods with ARP rod bolts. Bored to 98mm with JE 1...

I know Nick has been very busy with other things non work related lately. The mobile number on Redtek's site is still his if he answers it.

Re: 964 /930 speedster
No visible boost gauge, that makes it a 911 super sport speedster. Probably a 3.2 as well, no shots of engine. How can a 'proper' dealer get it that wrong??

Tight spot and vale clearances all wrong? Sounds like cam timing error to me..... But hey, what do I know, my 3.4 is stripped and on the bench again. Don't ask!

Re: Suing council
Marquez would indeed have lost it, good luck in getting your cash back, may be a battle..... Gravel looks like the leftovers from cheapo road resurfacing; pour tar down and sprinkle gravel on top, forget to sweep up excess gravel. Hey presto road faults hidden....

Re: Engine stand/yoke and other rebuild tools
Another happy ebay £70 yoke user here for my 3.2 rebuild. Worked 100% fine until I installed the flywheel when the reference bolt just touched the yoke, and easy fix with a grinder. £70 well spent.

I am also after the same answer to Magnum's question, indeed I asked the same question over on IB some time ago and have yet to receive the answer I'm looking for. Two coils are needed, one for each half of the dizzy. Both sparks fire at the same time. The benefits are indeed cleaner more complete c...
