Is the AX available in 1000cc petrol?
Yes , about 92% of ones left in uk are petrol .... but I like diesel (here we agree to differ) , and would prefer not to comment on Electric (sorry Moggy)

Add on to existing classic policy? I don't actually have one at present ....but was able to add it to existing policy on a temporary basis. 90 days for a 68 premium ....so still expensive but 4 times cheaper than previously quoted. Normally anything over 26 yrs old is not allowed , but their system...

Re: Time for a mini rant ! (Insurance for a 1.4 Diesel AX)

I just had renewals on our daily diesel and motorhome with no significant increases on either. 100 mpg sounds a bit unrealistic. Both of my 1.5 dci's can just about stretch to 65 or 70 in summer with a light-footed motorway run, both less than £300 to insure Try looking world record mpg production ...

Time for a mini rant ! (Insurance for a 1.4 Diesel AX)

Tried to get insurance for my new "Toy" (part of my aim to to get 100 mpg out of a standard road car) When the first quote (car valued at £1900 , and 1000 miles / yr limit) came in at over £1,000 ... I thought ... you're having a laugh, then the next one appeared ... a snip at £1,241 !! Wh...

Re: BIB5566

Interesting : Never seen or heard of one breaking like this before. Original does not look rotten , which would be usual cause of replacement , I was just telling Shelia of your woes yesterday , and said I thought you might be out of action for quite a while , as this was a major repair job. I think...

Now sold - 2005 Volvo S80 , 1 Family Owned , Petrol ULEZ compliant ! (cheap)

Now sold Just on the off chance that this might suit someone here. It's probably NOT the sort of car one would normally go looking for , but I hate the thought of a car I have known personally for the majority of it's life ... go to "waste" so to speak. It's a good one and has been loved s...

Re: Boxster Insurance renewal increase!

I had the same issue - quote up 48%. (Direct line) - told them I was a year older , more experience , less risk , years extra no claims , and the car was worth less - so +48% was NOT going to fly .... Period !!. Renewal quote came down about 15% immediately. No good I said ... "we" need to...

If you look hard enough there is plenty on the internet. Exploded parts diagrams , which are just as good as a manual for where bits go in what order......... https://en.impex-jp.com/catalogs/moto/yamaha/yb-1/5je3-2001-silver-3-19421.html https://japan.webike.net/YAMAHA/YB-1/748/m-spec/ https://www...

Re: O/T Japanese import vehicle delay registration advice

At least that one is easy to answer ... just use a good quality 2 stroke oil !!!. Fizzy one is probably as close as you are going to get .... it's mostly common sense anyway.

Yes , market a bit mad. How many of these "buyers" have ACTUALLY ridden a FS1E ??? ............ there were, and are, relatively terrible ! £5 grand for a "good one". There are still bargains out these if you hunt ... I bought a high miles Honda ST1300 last week , 2007 for well b...
