Yes was all good - i used a heavy build primer as well and lacquered. These were VW steel wheels plus i did the 912 spare. Im just starting the strip and paint of a set of sprint stars for the Karmann Ghia.

Ive spoken to southern carbs - very helpful as was Jim Merrin @ VWJIM. Going to order this week - also have some Chinese copy Solex on Order

Ive used silver wheel paint in rattle cans from local paint supplier to good effect. The next ones I'm going to try the Porsche silver M7Z - GT silver

Agree with all the above, I've been on Ebay since it started but stopped selling last year, mainly because of not accepting PayPal, but a lot more scammers and eBay always siding with the buyer. Mainly use Marketplace but that has issues with wasters etc or just advertise on car club websites / foru...

Can they be re-anodised ? and in general terms do Chroming companies do anodising ?

Is the front windscreen trim Aluminium. Looks like it is but seems to have a chrome plated finish. Was the original plated or anodised ? Can they be polished.
