Engine crane -1 tonne - excellent condition
Have decided to sell my one tonne engine crane. Only used it twice on my 911 engine and works great. See my restoration thread. This is the best photo I have https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4314/35122269914_0f3806caa6_b.jpg but it is the equivalent of this from ebay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3850829...

Re: Trying to gauge interest in Willhoit AntiDrain back valve
Bump - update Michael at Willhoit has agreed a discount on only 3 units - seems fair!
Any takers?

Trying to gauge interest in Willhoit AntiDrain back valve
Small update: Only need to buy three for discount! I was considering buying an anti drain back oil valve for my 911 and wanted to gauge if there was any interest from others, as buying a small number gives an economy of scale that drops the price. The pros and cons of the valves are documented else...

Re: Handbrake racket not engaging
Hi Neil,
I think it is a push fit and peened in place not sure you can reuse the old one.
Discussion about it here.

Rothsport Oil Inlet Check Valve (72-89) 911/ 930 - or Wilhoit equivalent
Just wondered if anyone had bought a Rothsport Oil Inlet Check Valve (72-89) 911/ 930 or the Wilhoit equivalent part, and decided not to use it.
Considering getting one from Rothsport but thought I would check if anyone had a spare one in the UK.
If so drop me a PM.
Thanks
Andrew

Re: Boxster Insurance surprise
I find insurance prices are a bit random. A few weeks ago at the renewal of my Yaris GR insurance I removed my son, as he will soon be going back to University and saved myself £200+ on the premium. A few days later he crashed his own car and is now without a car whilst Aviva deal with the claim. I ...

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?
I had a visitor the other week who was interested in seeing the 912 - 'starts like a dream' I said as it failed to turn over. :( I found that my Bosch S4021 battery had failed whilst on my CTEK charger. I was a bit disappointed it had died until I read the date code and found it was manufactured Apr...

Re: The shite ownership cycle
Did you send it to the same people as Engin? - as he seems to be having a similar problem here http://www.ddk-online.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=70393 I suspect he will be the go to person for MFI once he gets up to speed with the problem. Always best to fix it yourself in my opinion - at least you k...

Re: Insurance claim - not Porsche related - any advice?
Andrew, Why are CoPart picking the car up, when they only deal in salvage? Just make sure please this is not messages mixed up again, with the insurance company, and the next time you see the car its on their auction site! Also make sure you have plenty of pictures of every side / angle of the car,...

Re: Insurance claim - not Porsche related - any advice?
Grim to read Andrew, and we all fear such a situation. A claim will always show flaws and weaknesses, but even strengths. My last claim was 6 years ago when i was rear-ended in a traffic queue in my wife's Toyota iQ, a perfect cherrished car. We were with Direct Dial. The car was with the local app...

Re: Insurance claim - not Porsche related - any advice?
Hi Wayne, thanks for the insight. Since posting the approved repairer (Solus - owned by Aviva )has rung to say the information from Aviva is rubbish and that he can accept the car from Monday although Copart can only get it to him Tuesday - clearly this is much better than we were led to believe. We...

Insurance claim - not Porsche related - any advice?
Just asking whether the service my son is receiving with regard to an insurance claim is normal or not and whether anyone has any advice. Sadly ( or positively ) I've not had to make an insurance claim for 15+ years so I've not had any recent experience. Two weeks ago today my son was travelling to ...

Re: MFI Tuning
Firstly I know nothing about MFI but I do own an Innovate AFR kit. Your AFR setup sounds wrong to me. If I recall my Innovate only reads up to 22.4 in air alone, and you only see this when you calibrate your sensor. Have the sensors been calibrated correctly? There is a video here demonstrating an i...
